Ourivesaria Luíz Ferreira
Luiz Ferreira (1909-1994) had one of the strongest artistic personalities in the gold/silversmithing field, a tradition that was already rooted in his grandfather and his father. He opened his jewellery shop in 1970 and began his career as a creator and businessman. In this shop one can find the spirit and art of its creator, expressed in its silver pieces, jewellery or famous decorative animals.
Papelaria Modelo
It began its activity in 1922 and is a stationer’s with a striking historical identity and an exclusive environment where the artistic and academic tradition is recognised. It has been a loyal ally of painters and students of Fine Arts and Architecture, but it also attracts an unskilled audience looking for those unique items sold in this establishment.
Príncipe Porto Portugal
This commercial establishment, which has been in existence for over a century, has the mission of preserving and disseminating genuine Portuguese tradition, culture and handcrafted products. According to records, this business started business in 1897, but may have started even before that. Since then, from generation to generation, this house continues to sell regional, traditional and folk Portuguese products.
Vitália Pharmacy
This pharmacy was founded in 1933. Located in the city centre of Porto, draws the attention of those who pass by due to the giant cross that bears on the building’s façade. It has a very singular and characteristic facade, designed by architects. Apart from selling all kinds of medicines, it is also a source of attraction for many photographs.
Barbearia Tinoco
This house in the barber business started its activity in 1930, with an Art Deco decoration that adds richness to its interior. To preserve its history, the current owner tries to maintain a traditional activity and establishment with unique and very striking features in the city.
Café Embaixador
Café Embaixador opened its doors in 1957 and became, from then on, a reference in the city centre of Porto. It holds the status of Small and Medium Enterprise (PME) Leader 2018, conferred by Turismo de Portugal, regarding quality, risk profile and contribution to the national economy. It was recently declared as a Loja Histórica (Historic Shop) by Porto City Hall. Located right in Rua Sampaio Bruno, almost around the corner of Praça da Liberdade and Avenida dos Aliados, it is a pit stop whether to have a coffee, a quick long white coffee and a piece of toast or a meal. The Francesinhas, Bacalhau à Embaixador (Embaixador-style Codfish) and Tripas à Moda do Porto (Porto-Style Tripes) are enjoyed by the Portuguese and tourists who come here, guided by well-known international tourist agents. Situated in the city centre area, it is a traditional café with the typical atmosphere of the 1960's. The venue is large and pleasant.

Carvalho, Batista
Started its activity in 1953, having moved to its current headquarters in 1967. Due to its unique field, it is mentioned in several publications and has been present in exhibitions and fairs of design, architecture and furniture. Along its technical history, it has created its own lines in partnership with several renowned Portuguese architects such as Siza Vieira and Souto de Moura.
Arcádia
Arcádia is a Portuguese family-owned company which produces handmade chocolate and almonds. Founded in 1933 in the city of Porto by Manuel Pereira Bastos, the brand is currently run by the founder's grandchildren. Known for its Traditional Assortment, which maintains the original recipe since its foundation, as well as the Languages of Chocolate Línguas de Gato, innovation is an integral part of this company, for example the famous chocolate bonbons with Port wine, brandy or even ginger and cinnamon. Arcádia has 70 types of chocolates available and at certain times of the year it even produces about 60,000 chocolates a day.
Livraria Moreira da Costa
It is one of the oldest bookshops in the city, founded in 1902. Over the years it has become a space for sharing culture with gatherings of distinguished men of letters, book lovers and collectors. It is a house that prides itself on having as clients many illustrious people linked to literature and culture, but also from many Universities, City Halls and other important institutions relevant to the spread of culture.

The Guarany restaurant closed, in order to prevent the covid-19 outbreak. Guarany Café is located in Avenida dos Aliados, in the city centre of Porto. Part of a surge of coffee shop openings in Porto in the 1930's, this is a project carried out by the architect Rogério Azevedo and decorated by the sculptor Henrique Moreira. Located in the heart of Porto, in the historic Avenida dos Aliados, Guarany stands out thanks to its combination of tradition, quality of service and artistic spirit. Founded in 1933 and known by many as the "musicians' coffee shop", every week it reinforces its identity as a cultural centre, offering its customers the most diverse events, such as business lunches and dinners, poetry recital nights, musical, celebratory and literary dinners, Cocktail parties, coffee breaks, book launches and training sessions with coffee breaks.

Barbearia Garrett
With over half a century of history, this iconic barbershop in the city centre is a space cherished by generations of customers. The large mirrors reflect the padded armchairs and the barber’s craft. It has had several illustrious clients over the years, including figures from FC Porto's history, such as former coach José Maria Pedroto, who was for decades a client.
António Sousa Oliveira
The Oficina de Encadernação António Sousa Oliveira is one of the few that withstands the passage of time, bridging the gap between ancient and modern. Founded in 1969, it moved in 1974 to its current location. The art of binding has been passed down from generation to generation in a family business. It specialises in simple and luxurious binding, restoration and gold-leaf applications.
