1st Day- What to visit in the historic centre?
Morning
Start your day at the Historic Centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and be dazzled by the bustling city life. Here, there will be plenty of places to visit with Porto.CARD’s special discounts. If you choose to head by car to this area of the city, we suggest one of our 5 partner car parks (up to 48% discount - 24-hour tickets).
You cannot go to the city centre and not visit the São Bento Railway Station. Admire the train station concourse, lined with twenty thousand azulejos that depicts in detail the evolution of transport, as well as historical scenes of Portuguese life. Another must-see is the Clérigos Tower (3€). We promise that the climb of 225 steps to the top makes up for the stunning 360-degree view.
Head towards Sé Cathedral (2€). Look at sacred art and take a walk through the cloisters, perfect for taking some pictures alone or with your family. Nearby you will find the Guerra Junqueiro House (free), a Baroque style house. Here lived the poet Guerra Junqueiro who, throughout his life, gathered a collection of Portuguese silverware, furniture and goldsmithery.
Head down to the riverside area, by Funicular dos Guindais (1,90€), a perfect area to take a break and recharge your batteries in one of the typical restaurants. Here you will find restaurants with Mediterranean, European and traditional Portuguese cuisine.

Afternoon
Start the afternoon with a visit to Palácio da Bolsa (7.50€), a landmark of the city where you will have the opportunity to discover several historic halls, including the famous Arab Hall.
Since you are there, be sure to go to the Igreja Conventual de S. Francisco de Assis (6€), known as the “church of gold”. Also visit the Church of Terceiros de São Francisco and the Museum, where the catacomb cemetery is located.
Go down a bit and relax at Cais da Ribeira. Here you can admire the colourful typical houses of Ribeira and the magnificent Luiz I Bridge.
After this short break, it is time to continue towards Rua das Flores. Visit the MMIPO - Museu e Igreja da Misericórdia do Porto (3€), and take the opportunity to get to know the past and present of the city’s Historic Centre.
After this impressive visit, and while it is not time for dinner, go to Avenida dos Aliados, and take the opportunity to see its iconic buildings. After a long day and now knowing a little more about our history, it is time to enjoy the dishes of Porto’s cuisine, by having dinner in one of Porto.CARD’s affiliate restaurants.

2nd Day- What to visit in the eastern and modern part of the city?
Morning
Enjoy the second day in the city to get to know the eastern area, the most unknown side of the city. Go by metro (nearest station: Estádio do Dragão) or by bus (STCP routes 700, 800 and 801, bus stop Fonte Velha) and discover Casa São Roque (5.95€). Pay a visit to the art centre and end with a Vinho Verde wine tasting in the garden, while looking at the different types of century-old camellias.
Near Casa de São Roque, you will find the Futebol Clube do Porto Museum and Dragão Stadium (13.50€). This great cultural attraction impresses with the collection of trophies and the technologically advanced and interactive exhibition. Discover the great moments lived through the more than 120 years of history of the club and the city.
After the visit, take the metro to Casa da Música, an icon of contemporary architecture. We suggest that, before visiting the building, you take a break for lunch at Restaurante Casa da Música (10% à la carte discount per person). Located on the seventh and last floor, it offers international and contemporary cuisine with Portuguese roots. On its terrace it is also possible to enjoy the panoramic view over the city.
Afternoon
Spend the afternoon at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art and Serralves Park (16€), a space designated a national monument in 2012, it is a leading place in contemporary art in Portugal. In the museum you can observe the various permanent and temporary exhibitions by the most distinguished artists. In the Park, in addition to the landscape diversity, you will find Serralves Villa and the most recent attraction, the Treetop Walk. In order to get to the Serralves Foundation we suggest you take the bus (201 or 502 - bus stop Serralves)
