Inaugurated in 1885, it has remained in the same family generation after generation. Until the 1970s the business was focused on making embroidery for the Church and later became famous for also selling religious objects. Establishment dedicated to the jewellery trade which is distinguished by the advice and guidance service of traditional gold and silver pieces, including the famous Portuguese filigree. According to the records, this century old establishment was created in 1918, although it may date back to much older times than these.
Vidraria Fonseca
Founded in 1908, this establishment has specialised in the trade, handling and specialised services of all types of glass, mirrors, frames, acrylics, ironmongery and emergency services. With over 100 years of experience, it provides varied services to the commercial, industrial and residential markets, for architectural and decoration purposes.
Fábrica das Velas
It is a factory / shop for the making of handmade candles and candles made with the help of machines. Its records show that it has been 124 years in business.
The passing on the know-how has always been done in this establishment, so the artisanal method of candle making has been ensured. The shop has a unique and identity-filled atmosphere thanks to the hanging candles that line the ceiling, a feature that has been attracting many tourists.

It is a jewellery shop with more than a century and a half of history. This traditional and family business has its main identity feature in the representative pieces of Portuguese jewellery and in the filigree pieces, which it has been selling for decades. This house’s age proves that it is a historical and cultural reference of the city.

This jewellery shop was inaugurated in 1857, becoming a luxurious and welcoming space, which gives a lot of refinement and good taste to the pieces. This house participates in large Portuguese fairs and holds jewellery pieces of important heritage, lending them to several art exhibitions.
Ourivesaria Coutinho
Inaugurated in 1859, this jewellery shop is a landmark in the city for its history and age. It has been able to preserve a service of excellence recognized to this day. The silverware and the filigree pieces are the flagship products of this century-old house. It also has a complete range of gold/silversmithing, jewellery, watchmaking products and transforming jewellery.
Galerias da Vandoma
The Galeria Vandoma is closed in order to prevent the Covid-19 outbreak.
In the third generation of the founding family, these galleries have a unique family tradition linked to the passion for antiques. It was in 1975 that the founder specialised in exclusivity in auctioneer and antiquarian activities. The loan of works of art to museums, exhibitions and publications shows the influence and connection with various cultural institutions in the city.
On top of that, it’s likely that you’ll come across antique furniture and ornaments such as porcelain, clocks, silverware, paintings and sculptures.
Casa da Mariquinhas
In 1968, history was made because D. Heitor Gil de Vilhena made a pact with fado, thus appearing the cathedral of Fado in Porto, the Casa da Mariquinhas.
The Casa da Mariquinhas is located in the heart of the city, in the typical district of Sé, in front of the Arco de Santana, immortalized by Garret and at the foot of the Sé cathedral.
With 50 years of history this mythical site exudes fado by the pores of the granite walls. With more than 90 years of existence ESCOVARIA DE BELOMONTE, stands out in the handicraft, and recovery of all kinds of brushes, from industrial brushes to people, as well as household brushes. Our space consists of a small shop and workshop, where you can admire the making and acquire brushes of all kinds.

Pinguim Café
Café and bar opened in 1987 remains owned by the founding owners. It has specialised in selling gin and craft beer produced in Porto, gaining recognition and notoriety over the years. It also has a cultural side and cultural production by holding poetry activities, exhibitions and gatherings.
