About
Padaria Oriental is a traditional bakery company founded in October 1927 and is characterised by making bread in a wood-fired oven, which gives it a different texture and unique flavour throughout the day. All bakery products are made in the oven itself and so its aim is to satisfy all those who taste its products. There is a deep respect for traditional recipes, making their creation process far from automatic, in order to preserve flavour and quality. Of note are the biju, paris, cantos, pão d'água [bread], seeded bread, broa (with or without chouriço), bread with chouriço, tosta bebé, brown baguette and bran roll, assorted regueifas [twisted bread], among many others.
