Livraria Lello has been a bookshop very much of its times ever since 1906. It carries within it over a century of heritage, imbued into its architectural surroundings and the bookish knowledge that are part of the experience of those who visit it.

It shares intact the beauty of literature that only good books can keep for successive decades. It also preserves the beauty that makes it an architectural and heritage icon of the city, internationally renowned. The neo-Gothic building, the unmistakable facade, the magical staircase, the iconic stained-glass window and the shelves filled with books from the most diverse eras and in different languages, tell unique stories.

One of the oldest Portuguese bookshops, Livraria Lello is an iconic place in the city of Porto, a must-visit for anyone who stays here. Although it is a hundred years old, it continues to live in perfect harmony with its time, being more alive, more inhabited and more dynamic than ever.
