About

Subenshi is a restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine, being a Portuguese leading restaurant for the quality of its sushi, full of amazing flavours and amazing textures. It is established in a small palace from the 19th-century, fully restored, the Parada Leitão Building. At the same time, 4 beautiful hand-painted tile panels were elaborated exclusively, according to the traditional Portuguese technique, portraying Japanese themes and episodes by the painter Francisco Cunha, which give the space a very special ambience. Our motto: "a gastronomic experience in a historical heritage", in a harmonious fusion between Portuguese and Japanese cultures and identities.
