About

Casa da Guitarra, a place dedicated to Portuguese music and stringed instruments, presents an intimate concert daily, where Fado is celebrated as a cultural expression of the country, shows the soul of an entire people. On stage, Portuguese culture is revealed through a traditional fado show. On the Portuguese guitar, a luthier, our guitar maker, on the fado guitar, a teacher from our music school. We also have several renowned fadistas (fado singers) with pure soul in their voices.

In this concert you will get to know fado, in its traditional repertoire, in what is the gathering of some of the most special symbols of Portuguese culture - Fado, Portuguese Guitar and Port Wine. Don't miss this opportunity to hear this musical genre, designated Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
