About

The Casa da Guitarra project, created by Alfredo Teixeira, guitar maker (luthier) of stringed instruments, was born in 2012, in Porto. It is a meeting place for musicians, guitarists makers/players and music lovers, which brings together numerous services: instrument making workshop, music school, instrument shop, intimate concerts.

Casa da Guitarra's mission is to promote traditional Portuguese chordophones.

It is a project dedicated to the preservation of Portuguese musical heritage, where new ideas emerge that make this heritage alive and alluring to new generations.
