About
Designed by Nicolau Nasoni, the garden that involves the Casa da Prelada also conceived by the architect, presents two distinctive areas: one to the south, concerning the yard which is accessed through a monumental armored gateway built in the 17th century; the other to the north with the labyrinth, the lake and orchard. The boxwood labyrinth is considered one of the biggest of the Iberian Peninsula and certainly the only exemplar of the 18th century that the city has. Within the arboreal and shrub inventory the following stand out: boxwood, araucaria, rhododendron, camellia japonica.
