The Documentation Centre emerged in 2000 to counter the fleeting nature of the creative gesture and de-dramatise the effects of many documental curses. It began a process of gathering and treatment of all the documental material created by the TNSJ. Since 2001, it manages a database, Cinfo (located at www.tnsj.pt), which references the documents that exist physically in the Documentation Centre, also functioning as an online library, with great part of those documents also available in digital format. It has a library specialized in performing arts, a collection that shares with other professionals and the general public.
