ICBAS (Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar) of the University of Porto is a university school and a centre of education, scientific research, culture and provision of services to the community, acting in the scientific fields of Fundamental and Applied Biology, in the areas of Health, Environment, Animal Production, Food Transformation and Processing, and Quality Control. ICBAS courses favour the preparation for the professional practice of human medicine, veterinary medicine, aquatic sciences, biochemistry and bioengineering, or provide master’s and doctor’s degrees in such areas and in other related areas.
