The Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP) is the only one in the country to teach one scientific area: criminology. The cornerstone of FDUP is bipartite, so there is teaching, learning and research not only related to law but also to crime science. The creation of critical knowledge occurs in two different scientific areas: legal sciences and crime science. Just like research, education is based on two areas: law and criminology. Each one integrates three levels of studies: degree, master’s degree and doctor’s degree.
