About

The Bolhão Market reopens after a demanding restoration and modernization work to welcome traders, customers and visitors.

In the heart of the city, Bolhão presents itself with its usual soul, but also with new features. The produce market continues to be the main protagonist of this iconic building in the city. Altogether, the Market reopened its doors with more than 70 traders with various products, ranging from fish, vegetables and fruits, but also to handicrafts and coffee shops.

In addition to the best seasonal products in the stalls on the ground floor, Bolhão now has 38 shops on the exterior of the building. There is also space for 10 restaurants on the first floor.

The Bolhão building now has a direct connection to the Metro station, through Praça do Metro, making it possible for all visitors to disembark directly at the Bolhão station and enter the fresh produce market floor.

But the news doesn't stop there! Bolhão also has the Cozinha do Bolhão, a fully equipped kitchen that hosts cookery demos and other gastronomic events, next to the central staircase.
