About

The Vandoma Fair began in the Sé district in the 1970s,
mainly organised by a group of young people looking to sell second-hand items they had collected from home (primarily books, records and clothes) at affordable prices. Over time, this market has become an icon of the city.

In 1984, the event came under the regulation of Porto City Council.
Having previously been held at other locations such as Alameda das Fontaínhas and Avenida 25 de Abril, in 2025 the Vandoma Fair settled in the new space dedicated to large-scale fairs – Praça Vandoma (next to Nasoni Metro Station (Line F, Orange)) – which features logistics tailored to the needs of these 152 businesses.
