About

The Foundation is a private cultural institution that includes the Museum of Paper Money and a Congress and Exhibition Centre. The museum is organized around two permanent exhibition rooms:
- The paper money exhibition presents the history of paper money in Portugal, with an important collection of bank notes in which all emissions of Banco de Portugal and Banco Nacional Ultramarino are represented. You can even see collections of all other types of paper currency.
- The miniatures exhibition illustrates the relation between money and transport, with a collection of over 5,000 miniature cars and other collections of boats, trains and airplanes.

The collection is contextualized by movies, models, viewmasters and multimedia kiosks.

Guided tours for schools, seniors, families and people with special needs are available by appointment.

The Foundation is opposite the City Park and has private parking and a restaurant which is open every day except Sunday.
