The Pavilhão da Água (Water Pavilion) examines the themes of water resources, the environment and science through interactive and fun activities. The interactive element is the distinguishing characteristic, with educational activities that introduce the importance of water and its functions, which are vital for life on earth and mankind, as well as the threats and opportunities which exist. The Pavilhão da Água represents a journey into the wonderful world of water as a strategic and essential resource for life. Since January 2011, the pavilion has been run by Águas do Porto as part of an agreement signed with the Porto Municipal Council.
