About

J. W. Burmester Cellars

Burmester Wine Cellars are located in Vila Nova de Gaia, in a prime location overlooking the river Douro, by the bottom deck of Luiz I Bridge. Open to the public for guided tours and Port wine tastings, distinguished by their history and authenticity. When you enter the cellars, you will be transported back in time to 1750, to the beginnings of Burmester Nash & Co, founded by Henry Burmester and John Nash. This historical environment highlights the elegance of the brand, on its way to being 300 years old.

Uniquely interesting place, which Tripadvisor – the most important tourism rating service in the world – has awarded with its Travellers’ Choice 2020.
