About

Founded in 1877, Porto’s oldest hotel can be found in a palace-style house typical of the city. It has 42 rooms, all of which are non-smoking, that are decorated with furniture in varying styles and from a variety of eras.
An unusual staircase leads up to the building’s three floors.
On the ground floor, the Salão Nobre (Great Hall) recreates the atmosphere of the 19th Century for guests enjoying an elegant but relaxed breakfast. On sunny days, the hall is open to the romantic garden. Besides offering all the essential services hotel guests might need, the Grande Hotel de Paris preserves the charisma and authenticity that make it such a distinguished cultural icon and helps it set the standard for accommodation in the city. Numerous important figures from Portuguese society have stayed here whilst the hotel has witnessed many historical events throughout the city´s life.
