Its name Memórias is symbolic of its value for traditions and practices.

From ceramics to embroidery, Portuguese tile work is undoubtedly the major highlight.

The figures of Barcelos and Estremoz are possibly the most depicted. Ceramics from the Alentejo region are much sought after for their colour and simplicity. The textiles often portray the northern coast using embroidery whilst the mountains are illustrated using wool, mesh and burel. Their Portuguese soaps, with many world-famous brands, have also become very much in demand.
