About

Casa Oriental - Portuguese tradition since 1910

Next to Torre dos Clérigos, Casa Oriental is a grocer’s shop founded in 1910, which started by selling products from the Eastern and African colonies. Recently associated with Comur - Fábrica de Conservas da Murtosa, it now proposes a trip to the last century in Portugal and the world, offering about thirty varieties of tinned fish, the tin cans are meticulously worked by the experienced and wise hands of the more than one hundred women who transform the flavours of the sea into delicious delicacies, through artisanal production methods based on decades of knowledge, that seals with a soul each can that leaves Comur. A universe of cans that fuses tradition and modernity in the same space.
