About

Robert Glasper is the leader of a new sonic paradigm, bridging different genres. He has won four Grammys and nine nominations in eight different categories, as well as an Emmy for the song he wrote with Common and Karriem Riggins for Ava DuVernay's critically hailed documentary “13th”. The seminal album “Black Radio” brought new directions to the crossover languages between soul, R&B, jazz and hip hop, and was a rare success both commercially and critically acclaim. Keyboardist on Kendrick Lamar's acclaimed “To Pimp A Butterfly”, Glasper has partnered with legendary artists such as Ledisi, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. More recently he released “Fuck Yo Feelings”, his first record on Loma Vista Records, joining the likes of YBN Cordae, Herbie Hancock and Yebba – nominated for a Grammy in 2021. He formed the supergroup Dinner Party, with Terrace Martin, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder. In 2020, he released “Better Than Imagined” (Grammy for best R&B song in 2021), a preview of the new album “Black Radio 3”, released already this year. Featuring H.E.R and Meshell Ndegeocello, this song underlines Glasper's role as an artist who champions black music, black people and the possibility of a better future.
