Stacey Kent presents her latest studio album, “Songs From Other Places”, a captivating and eclectic collection of voice and piano duets accompanied by the extraordinary pianist Art Hirahara. The idea for this album evolved when “I Wish I Could Go Travelling Again”, written for the singer by Kazuo Ishiguro (Nobel Prize for Literature) and her husband and long-time collaborator, Jim Tomlinson, became the most talked about and requested song on social media. “Songs From Other Places” includes songs by Paul Simon, Jobim, Weil and Gershwin, Lennon and McCartney, Stevie Nicks, plus two new Tomlinson/Ishiguro originals.
