About

At 16, Daniel Freire is one of the undisputed new talents of the Portuguese guitar, revealing a mature sensitivity and reverence for his major references: José Nunes, Alcino Frazão, or José Manuel Neto and Ângelo Freire (his uncle). Daniel Freire studies at the Conservatório Nacional de Música with Ricardo Gordo, while performing in several fado houses in the city of Lisbon, alongside artists such as Miguel Ramos, Ada de Castro, Maria da Nazaré, Linda Leonardo, Maria Amélia Proença, José Manuel Neto, Carlos Manuel Proença and Ângelo Freire.
