HAPPY LAMENTO clearly reveals Alexander Kluge’s freedom and radicalism when, many years after his last feature film, he truly returns to cinema. A film featuring the participation of Filipino artist and director Khavn de la Cruz, who will co-sign with Kluge his latest feature for cinema, Orphea. Here we recognise all the eclectic editing work, the motifs, and even the images and sounds of many of his previous productions. As he himself said: “It is a peculiar musical film.
