Parque Central da Asprela

In the pre-pandemic, it was possible to see “inside” some of Porto's most striking infrastructures, such as the Metro do Porto tunnels or the technical deck of the iconic São João Bridge. In the current circumstances, the event “Inovação Fora de Portas – Engenharia Civil à Mostra” takes place at home, in digital format, but the trips promise to set sail every month.

Project that aspires to be the new “green lung” of the city and links the entire Asprela university campus. The revitalisation project coordinated by Paulo Farinha Marques (landscape architect and professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto).

The session will be accompanied by the presentation of a documentary video on the projects and a conversation about the great challenge of the hydrographic control of Asprela’s Stream and all other surrounding streams as an opportunity to create a unique landscape space in Porto, pleasant not only for the enjoyment of the population, but also as a crossing solution (pedestrian or cycling) for the academic community that daily studies and works in this area of the city.
