About

Estetoscópio (Stethoscope) is a programme that seeks to auscultate to a cinema that, at the intersection with aesthetics, politics and sociology, faces the dilemmas of the present. In this second edition, in tune with the Korakrit Arunanondchai exhibition in Serralves, we ponder on the problems of social ecology, sustainability and the impact of globalization on the environment. Two sessions that seek to evaluate how the contradictions of the consumer society have been portrayed in contemporary documentary cinema.
