Trengo is back from June 27 to July 2. Porto's circus festival brings shows and activities for the whole family, with performances at Parque do Covelo, Praça D. João I, Rivoli and Coliseu Porto Ageas.

The 8th edition of Trengo - Porto Circus Festival has, this year, 22 presentations of 11 shows coming from France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Brazil and Senegal, besides Portugal.
One of the highlights is the national premiere of "Ancrage", artistically directed by Senegalese Modou Fata Touré, which will be performed at Rivoli on June 30 and July 1 - and then on to Viseu, for a performance at Teatro Viriato on July 2.
The program includes two world premiere shows that result from co-productions established with the festival: "Livre", a show by INAC that will be presented outdoors, on June 30, at Parque do Covelo, and "Baraka", a proposal presented by Alexandre Duarte, a Portuguese artist living in Italy, who will be accompanied by Salgari Records. It will be presented on July 1st and 2nd, at Covelo Park.

The program is made for everyone, but those who have training in the area have a special component: Extra Trengo includes advanced training in the area of the new circus, aimed at circus students and professionals, which runs from June 19 to 23 at the CCC - Contemporary Circus Club.

There is still time for a show made with several hands: on June 26, at the Santo António Educational Center, the "Q-Circo" project will take place, made in collaboration with young people from the Areosa Rehabilitation Center, which is supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the La Caixa Foundation, in partnership with the Soutelo Social Center and Solsal - Fundação Salesianos Porto.

The youngest will find workshops to do with their parents and with children of the same age. The "Trenguinhos Workshops" will take place on July 1st and 2nd and are aimed at children over six years old. The registration and attendance of these moments is totally free.
Highlight, also, for the return of the "Trengo Grant", which supports the creation of emerging circus projects and that, this year, will contribute to "Aria", the new show of the Nordestiny's company.
