About

This is a year that makes more sense than ever, to again vacation at home. For the second consecutive year, we take AS NOITES DE BORIS to the gardens of Casa das Artes.

To close Noites de Boris, a session dedicated to Fernando Pessoa, with the screening of Eugène Green's short film “How Fernando Pessoa saved Portugal” and Luís Porto's short film “Boca do Inferno”, filmed in the city of Porto and the filmmaker will also attend.

How Fernando Pessoa Saved Portugal by Eugène Green
In the 1920s, at the request of one of his employers, the poet Fernando Pessoa created an advertising slogan for the Coca-Louca drink, which creates panic within the authoritarian government at the time.

Boca do Inferno by Luís Porto
A reserved Portuguese poet and an exuberant English occultist meet in Lisbon in 1930. When the latter disappears, an English detective begins a thorough investigation: was it really a suicide, as reported? Or a homicide? This is the real story of the brief encounter between Fernando Pessoa, Aleister Crowley and Hanni Larissa Jaeger.
