Marking its 31st edition this year, the first of the post-pandemic period, “Jazz no Parque” celebrates the fundamental values of freedom, diversity and creativity with an extended programme that reflects just that. For this, they have invited musicians who are a paradigm of vision and independence, artists who strongly project their own voice, expanding the possibilities of music for future generations. Different aesthetic lineages, generations and nationalities, united by a common trait – an unconditional openness to different languages and influences. And also, as usual in all editions of “Jazz no Parque”, something that is increasingly decisive and a must, an unequivocal highlight of the national jazz and improvised scene, currently recognised as one of the most active and relevant in Europe. At a time when the roots of jazz are giving rise to an increasingly universal music, this thus provides a challenge, adventure and talent which ooze music.
