About
A performance created by João Paulo Seara Cardoso based on the famous novel by A. A. Milne, written in 1926, which would become one of the classics of children's literature of the 20th century.
JOANICA-PUFF is a bear “of very little brain”, who lives in the Hundred Acres Wood with his friends and acquaintances: Rabbit, Piglet, Tigger, Owl, Eeyore and even Christopher Robin, the dreamy little boy who imagines the delightful stories with his own toys.
The marionettes of this performance were created using a mixed technique of leather and wood, by the French sculptor Étienne Champion, using mask-making techniques from Commedia dell'Arte.
The scenography consists of a set of places suggested by Albuquerque Mendes’ paintings.
