The series of broadcasts dedicated to Philippe Manoury presents a piece that explores the interaction of the flute with a digital synthesis system in real time, seeking to make the machine resemble the human being: it listens, waits for an event, reacts when it happens. The piece dates from 1987 and was a game-changer in the way of creating composition using electronic means, since the synthesized part is the result not only of digital programming, but mainly of its application to the sounds produced, in real time, by the instrument.
