Associação Portuguesa de Orquidofilia (A.P.O.) is proud to announce its 11.ª Exposição / Venda Internacional de Orquídeas do Porto, at Exponor.

A.P.O. brings to its loyal public, orchids from around the world of some of the best international orchid growers and presenting the best national exhibit of orchids in bloom, thanks to their participation, collaboration and orchid loans by exhibitors, members and by orchidists in general.

The Exposição / Venda Internacional de Orquídeas do Porto has already been held at Jardim Botânico do Porto, Palacete Pinto Leite, Biblioteca Municipal Almeida Garrett’s Gallery, Palácio de Cristal’s gardens, and at Edifício Transparente, this being the 6th year it will again be held at Exponor, a large space with all the conditions of comfort and accessibility to welcome the visitors of this prestigious event.

The 11ª Exposição / Venda Internacional de Orquídeas do Porto will bring together, in more than 4,500 m2, the best orchid specimens brought by exhibitors and private collectors who, over the years, lovingly grow a huge variety of species and hybrids of orchids and that here orchidists and the general public can admire in a careful and diversified exhibition.

Organised by Associação Portuguesa de Orquidofilia (A.P.O.), the Exposição / Venda Internacional de Orquídeas do Porto is the oldest and most important orchid event in the Iberian Peninsula.

This year's edition has 23 exhibitors, 16 national exhibitors and 7 foreign exhibitors (Spain, Taiwan, France and Ecuador), as well as 2 days of lectures on themes related to the planting of orchids.

The 11th Exhibition once again has an exhibition of children's and youth drawings.

Continuing to rigorously assess the plants, we will have a panel of expert judges who will award the prizes according to a “Ribbon Judging - Best In Show” model.
