In the afternoon of "Shrove Sunday", festive music and dance will liven up the eastern part of the city.

As has been tradition in recent years, the group Batucada Radical will hold another Carnival parade, in the form of a music group, across the streets of the city of Porto. The event, which is now in its 11th edition, is scheduled for the afternoon of February 23rd, gathering at 3 pm, next to Centro Comercial Stop, in Rua do Heroísmo.

The carnival parade will leave at 4 pm, heading to Avenida de Rodrigues de Freitas, to finish, around 6 pm, in Praça da Alegria.

Participation is free and, masked or not, everyone is invited to sing, dance and above all to have fun, to the sound of Portuguese and Brazilian music.

This year, the multifaceted artist Ilen Monteiro will be in charge of the sound-equipped van.
