Following the Shakespeare / Purcell trilogy (presented between 2010 and 2019), Teatro Praga returns to the big stage, in partnership with Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, to present “A Sagração da Primavera” [The Rite of Spring], a ballet with music by Stravinsky, originally choreographed by Nijinsky for the Ballets Russes. Given that this work is a milestone in the history of the performing arts, a succès de scandale, and taking into account its symbolic weight, Teatro Praga’s “A Sagração da Primavera”, carries on the wish to bring history to the stage and understand how it reverberates in contemporaneity making a farewell into a celebration.
