Station 1 reveals the history of absence, rather than the history of presence. Fragments and further fragments are used to narrate moments that indicate the existence of the current and previous epochs. Materials from different periods coexist with audiovisual devices and different types of image, to show us how PortuCale - the city that gave Portugal its name - became Porto.

The Miró Collection, owned by the Portuguese State, on loan to the Municipality of Porto and deposited at the Serralves Foundation, comprises 85 artworks and includes paintings, sculptures, collages, drawings and tapestries by the renowned Catalan artist. The Collection spans six decades of Joan Miró's work, from 1924 to 1981, thus being an excellent introduction to his work and his main artistic concerns. The exhibition follows on from the conclusion of the works of the Serralves Villa’s restoration and adaptation project, by the architect Álvaro Siza, who had the support of the Porto City Council, under the terms of the protocol that defines the conditions for depositing the Miró Collection in Serralves. Joan Miró (1893-1983), one of the great “form-givers” of the 20th century, was simultaneously an aesthetic “assassin” who challenged the traditional limits of the medium in which he worked. In his art, the different practices dialogue with each other, crossing the mediums: painting communicates with drawing; sculpture seduces woven objects; and collages, always conjugations of disparate entities, function as a major principle or matrix for exploring the depths of reality. This exhibition does not follow a chronological or linear format: the works are thematically aggregated, trying to give a holistic view of the artist's career. The various rooms address different aspects of his art: the development of a sign language; the artist's encounter with abstract painting that was done in Europe and America; his interest in the process and the expressive gesture; its complex responses to the social drama of the 1930s; the innovative approach to collage; the impact of Southwest Asian aesthetics on his drawing practice; and, above all, his incessant curiosity about the nature of materials.

What do Lena D’Água, Ana Deus, Anabela Duarte, Manuela Azevedo or Xana have in common? All of them have a place in Portuguese rock history and are a part of a group of 15 women whose musical careers are going to be celebrated in the exhibition, and in a series of side events that are going to take place in the next 6 months. Symbolically inaugurated on March 8th, International Women’s Day, in Casa Comum (Rectory) of the University of Porto, and with free admission. It will be open until 30 September 2022. Organised by Casa Comum and the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto, this unprecedented exhibition is born with the aim of paying tribute to “relevant women in Portuguese rock”, from post-25 April period until today. To do so, it proposes to tell their stories through records, cassettes, clothes, props, scribbles of lyrics, staves, drumsticks, musical instruments, among other objects that marked their respective careers.

METAMORFOSES focuses on the profusion and the process of integration of the imaginary and the vegetal, mineral and animal themes in a romantic domestic space, bringing to the halls of the house of Quinta da Macieirinha several pieces, some previously exhibited in the former Romantic Museum and other spaces of Museu da Cidade, others never exhibited, showing the unquestionable quality and diversity of the municipal collections. This exhibition also marks the beginning of the evocation of the centenary of the death of Porto artist, Aurélia de Souza, a key moment of the 2022/2023 programme. The celebrated self-portrait of the artist as “Santo António” (Saint Anthony), made around 1902, will be part of the new collection that brings together paintings, furniture, tapestries and textiles, ceramics, crockery and silverware, as well as other surprising sections of the collection, such as sets of fans, cut-out papers and malacology.

Leonilson was one of the major exponents of a generation of Brazilian artists known as “Geração 80” (80s Generation). After the end of Brazil’s military dictatorship in the mid-1980s, this group of artists celebrated their newly acquired freedom with a gestural, colourful, and expressive style of painting. While American Pop Art appropriated the symbols of a highly industrialized society in the 1980s, the Geração 80s’ art was firmly critical of society. Born in 1957, Leonilson studied art in São Paulo from 1978 to 1981. Apart from Eva Hesse and Blinky Palermo, both of whom he met during his travels in Europe, his first major influence was the Italian transavanguardia movement. Formed in the late 1970s, transavanguardia turned to figuration, ancient mythology, and expressive use of colour. Similarly, Leonilson’s paintings and drawings from this period show an eclectic subjectivism and an emblematic visual language. An exhibition of textiles produced by the Shakers, a Christian American sect, marked a key moment in the artist’s early career. The Shakers’ embroidered maps influenced him greatly and inspired him to embrace textiles as an artistic medium. When Leonilson was diagnosed with AIDS in 1991, his visual language changed significantly: between 1991 and 1993, his work, which resembled a diary, revealed his deteriorating health and showed his concern with death. Towards the end of his life, he was only able to work with needle, thread, and fabric. In this period, language and abstraction, as well as religious, visual and formal language played an important role in Leonilson’s work. The Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art is pleased to present the first major retrospective of the work of the Brazilian artist Leonilson in Portugal. The exhibition presents a selection of over 250 works that encompass a broad range of mediums and styles, from the artist’s early paintings to the introspective embroidery of Leonilson’s last years, providing an overview of his entire oeuvre.

“Ajax et plures” presents a set of works by João Paulo Feliciano from the 1990s and 2000s belonging to the Serralves collection and a never-seen-before work conceived for the campus of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. The works presented are representative of different moments in the artist’s career, revealing the continuities and ruptures that have marked his artistic practice over the last thirty years. If the works of the 1990s revolve around the world of rock music and urban reality, the works of 2004 and 2021 show an interest in exploring perceptual phenomena and allow us to distinguish a turning point in the relationship (of fascination/rejection) with technology. There is a constant questioning of the material and linguistic mediums that the artist uses as a way of rethinking our relationship with the world, questioning assumptions of traditional artistic genres in the light of different aspects of folk culture. His ironic and provocative attitude, his desire to involve the spectator in the work’s meaning and, above all, his insatiable appetite for experimentation reveals to be transversal to João Paulo Feliciano’s diverse body of work. The works are presented in different spaces of the UCP – Porto campus, at the Edifício das Artes and the Edifício de Restauro.

Yuri Dojc, a photographer renowned for his portraits of Jewish Holocaust survivors, and Katya Krausova, a veteran British filmmaker who, in 1997, won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film (with "Kolya") and is now also the exhibition's curator, show the memories of the inhabitants of Bardejov, a small Slovak seaside town. The exhibition and the accompanying documentary began its journey in 2009 and have already travelled to three continents, in the most diverse venues: from the Cambridge Manuscript Library to the United Nations building in New York, to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, followed by Berlin and Moscow. Currently, several pictures from the exhibition are already part of the permanent collection of the Library of Congress in Washington (USA).

BANKSY: Genius or Vandal? brings us closer to the controversial artistic world of one of the most influential creators in recent years, featuring more than 70 works organised into various thematic sections. The exhibition includes original works, sculptures, installations, videos and photographs. The works, from private collections and with the collaboration of Lilley Fine Art/Contemporary Art Gallery will be exhibited in Portugal again, for the first time in Porto. An impressive audio-visual installation especially created for this exhibition greets visitors on arrival, revealing clues about this mysterious artist, highlighting his most important pieces and framing his unusual career, fraught with controversy. Amongst the most widely recognised works in the show is the original silkscreen of the “Girl with Balloon” series, similar to the one recently destroyed by the artist in an unprecedented action at Sotheby’s, London auction house.

Four days of event, more than 50 countries represented and one thousand athletes in competition. The World Battle 2022 street art festival is set up again in Porto, from 1 to 4 September, and allows for a more privileged contact with the rhythms of breaking and street art. The events will be held in various spaces in the city, with the competitions taking place on September 3rd and 4th at Hard Club and at Coliseu Porto Ageas (which hosts the final). The programme of this World Battle also includes exhibitions, dance workshops with various styles, a market and several satellite activities, which essentially take place on September 1st and 2nd at MXM Art Center, in Praia Internacional do Porto, Hard Club and Hard Rock Café.

Warhol, People and Things: 1972-2022, a collection of 68 photographs, from the 1970s and 1980s, donated to the Mishkin Gallery by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and exhibited, for the first time, in Portugal and Europe. The exhibition reveals "the work of Andy Warhol and his contributions to the development of experimental art, the media and critical art discourse, in conversation with contemporary artists, while also exposing the pioneering pop artist to a new generation in Porto". In addition to Warhol's photographs, contemporary works of art will be exhibited, several of which were commissioned for the exhibition. Among the works on display are "Scenes from the Life Of Andy Warhol" (1982), by director Jonas Mekas, John Miller’s "Middle of the Day" photographs, three films by Jeff Preiss, including his most recent "Welcome to Jordan", 2022, and recent paintings by Anna Ostoya. Works by Portuguese artists Sara Graça and Pedro Magalhães were also commissioned, and pieces from Casa São Roque will also be included, such as photographs by Augusto Alves da Silva and Robert Mapplethorpe. The exhibition program also includes lectures on photography and the relationship between Warhol and Jonas Mekas.

Frida Kahlo, The Life of an Icon is an immersive biography that takes you on a journey through the life of one of the most influential artists of all time. In this multimedia creation, among historical photographs and original movies, you are guided throughout different sound and artistic environments that reproduce relevant life moments of Kahlo, showing the story behind the icon. This experience is divided into two distinct stages. In the first one, you are invited to walk by several artistic installations, where you can experience virtual reality and create your own customized Frida model. In the second one, you will be immersed in a 360º audiovisual show displaying some of the most unique moments from the artist’s personal life. Frida Kahlo remains an iconic figure of our modern society. Her life, rebellious spirit and talent still inspire women of all ages due to her strong, one of a kind and way ahead of her time personality. The immersive biography of Frida Kahlo is presented without any reproductions of her artistic work with the aim of highlighting her personal life story.

Spiritus –The best way to travel is to feel is an innovative multimedia show that goes beyond the walls of the Church of Clérigos, in Porto. This immersive experience explores music, light, energy and colour, creating an atmosphere of visual poetry, synchronicity and lightness that fills the entire architecture of the Church of Clérigos. Created by OCUBO and freely inspired by the poem “Afinal, a melhor maneira de viajar é sentir” by Álvaro de Campos, Spiritus awakens the imaginary, spirituality and mindfulness in each spectator.

The night tours to the Clérigos Tower are back. Visitors will be able to be dazzled by the privileged landscape of Porto until next October 16th. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance of the monument and the adult ticket price remains at 5€ per person. “Clérigos by Night” is already a programme of tradition and a hit, sought after by both local families and tourists from all over the world who visit the Invicta. This programme began in the summer of 2015, to fill the limited cultural offer available after 6 pm, which the city of Porto had at the time. For Father Manuel Fernando, President of the Institution, “it is a great pleasure to see the city regaining its visitors and to realise that various players have contributed with cultural offers of international interest and also outside the usual opening hours”.

“Serralves em Luz” is back for a second edition and transforms the entire Serralves Park into an impressive light exhibition, providing the night-time enjoyment of this magnificent space through a surprising experience. After the success of the first edition, mentioned in the British newspaper The Times as one of the 10 best exhibitions to visit in all of Europe, “Serralves em Luz” is back, with the creative direction of Nuno Maya and organised in conjunction with the Serralves team and with light designs by the OLAB Collective, Sophie Guyot, Tamar Frank and Tilen Sepič. Along a 3 km route, twenty-five light installations, using multiple sources, low energy consumption technologies and even plants recovered in the Park itself, provide a magical sensory experience, in an immersive environment that provides new perspectives of this remarkable space and beckons to discover its natural and architectural heritage. Nuno Maya's light designs, created specifically for this exhibition, combine various forms of light with different locations in the Park, awakening in the spectator different visual sensations and emotions, while international interventions focus on luminous and interactive sculptural pieces that enable, for the for the first time, an active role of the audience that can thus transform, through light, the natural landscapes of the spaces. From the workshop for children, designed by the exhibition’s creative director and held with the collaboration of the Serralves Environment Education Service, was also born a video mapping projection on the facade of Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira, created by 2nd year students of Escola Básica da Pasteleira do Porto. In parallel with this great open-air and night-time exhibition, there will be a programme of guided tours and photography workshops, which complements and enhances the experience of the different dimensions present: light, nature, art and architecture. Botanical Garden of Porto will host an immersive night show, designed with the whole family in mind, where there will be plenty of light sculptures, holograms and visual effects with lights and lasers that will highlight some of the garden’s botanical species. The show is a “sensory and interactive journey” that will feature some of the most fascinating characters from the world of Alice in Wonderland, such as the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, The Caterpillar and the Queen of Hearts, but also with well-known passages from Lewis Carroll's two books, the aforementioned and Alice Through the Looking-Glass. some sound environments and multimedia and interactive installations in mind, that is, there will be an “augmented reality app that will enable to add magic to one of the settings, using a smartphone, and a projection mapping on the south façade of the Galeria da Biodiversidade. As part of the commemorations of the Bicentenary of Brazil’s Independence, Casa da Música hosts Orquestra Filarmônica de Minas Gerais at Sala Suggia. Considered one of the most successful cultural projects in Brazil, the orchestra was created by the Government of Minas Gerais in 2008. On the podium will be its artistic director and principal conductor Fabio Mechetti, performing a programme that begins in the Alentejo landscapes of Joly Braga Santos and takes us through the sounds of Villa-Lobos' Brazil. The orchestra also has the renowned pianist Jean Louis Steuerman as a guest soloist.

A greeting card for many of the most creative composers in history, opera overtures have the mission of capturing the listener and preparing him for the drama that will unfold on stage. In the year that marks the return to Avenida dos Aliados, Orquestra Sinfónica presents some of the most famous overtures in the repertoire, all of them works that emancipated themselves from the operas and which today are part of the catalog of orchestras around the world. There is still time to listen to the echoes of gypsy folklore in Johannes Brahms' “Hungarian Dances”, but also Italian folk songs in “Capriccio italien”, a piece written after Tchaikovsky's visit to Italy during the Carnival of 1880. Internationally sought-after conductor, the German Christoph Poppen is our guest for an evening that is expected to be unforgettable.

“Uma caminhada à descoberta da cidade” [A walk to discover the city] is the motto for the second edition of “Porto Saudável”, a programme that offers walks guided by physical exercise professionals, designed for the whole family and that take place every weekend with different start points. In total, there will be 11 routes that will tour the most iconic places in the city.

For a decade now, the BSP Composition Competition has stimulated the artistic creation of new talents of contemporary Portuguese composition, introducing several new works for band. The pieces of the finalists of the 2022 edition are heard in this concert, all in world premiere. Alongside the scores of young composers, BSP also premieres new music by a renowned national composer. This year, the guest is Luís Carvalho, one of the most versatile Portuguese musicians of his generation, who will also take on the role of conductor.

The cult of the virtuoso artist has given us the habit of attending concerts for soloist and orchestra. But the concerts for two soloists, in dialogue with each other and with an orchestra, bring other challenges and other stimuli to our ears. How do two pianos converse, without one trying to overlap the other? What do a percussionist and a pianist have in common? Or more common combinations in the Baroque period, with two violins or two oboes, for example. This was brilliantly done by Vivaldi, Telemann and Albinoni, key composers that Orquestra Barroca will present, with several of its members being soloists. But the first concert of this festival brings us contemporary music: the Remix Ensemble presents a Unsuk Chin’s Double Concerto, featuring pianist Jonathan Ayerst and percussionist Dirk Rothbrust. We have the prestigious French conductor Sylvain Cambreling to direct not only this concert, but also Orquestra Sinfónica, which invites the fabulous GrauSchumacher Piano Duo to perform Bach and Wolfgang Rihm — an opportunity to compare the approach in the same way in pieces separated by 250 years. The Orchestra closes the festival with conductor and pianist Christian Zacharias, who plays a Mozart Concerto in dialogue with pianist Yumeka Nakagawa.

Danish Peter Asmussen’s (1957-2016) oeuvre includes theatre, opera, novel, film and television. His play “A Praia” [The Beach] (1996) appealed to João Reis, an actor and stage director so inextricably linked with the history of this Theatre: “What is extraordinary about this text is that, despite the impending catastrophe, there is still room for one last breath.” Two couples meet during a summer holiday in a deserted hotel on the Nordic coast, returning to it year after year. Doubts, demons, melancholic exaltation blur, with each return, the boundaries between conviviality, confession and confrontation. “Whoever seeks or repeats a place where nothing happens is saying goodbye or running away from something.” The performance takes us through the restlessness and misunderstandings of “this quartet, almost always out of tune”, the things that are left unsaid, the always unsatisfied need for solace. “It is from this impossibility that the strength and game of approach and escape of this text come”, says João Reis. “As if the characters were waiting for someone who could rescue them and lead them back to another place, even if in a deceptive harmony.”

“talvez … Monsanto” returns to the stage that witnessed its birth. A theatre-music-word show that interweaves a plurality of materials, turning it into a singularity. The traditional music from Beira Alta and fado, the countryside and the city, timbrel and Portuguese guitar, religious chants and Ruy Belo’s poetry, granite and wind, ancient and modern, childhood and death, the wheel and the cross. We've never seen or heard such tunes and. How does all this happen? Perhaps the keyword that will allow us access to “talvez … Monsanto” is “cohabitation”, the art of transforming strangeness into affinity, the art of bringing the root of one thing into contact with the root of another. “talvez … Monsanto” is perhaps Ricardo Pais’ most important ethical and aesthetic statement, a place so sensuous and austere, so ready to bring silence and beauty into the world.

The event is held on the third Saturday of every month, between 8am and 6pm.  The Antiques Fair takes place in Praça do Doutor Francisco Sá Carneiro, popularly also known as "Praça de Velasquez".  A favourite place for enthusiasts and curious people, collectors and experts, this fair offers a wide variety of genres, under the spectrum of antiques and vintage (books, porcelain, furniture, coins, jewellery, tapestries and paintings). André Aires manages to explore exactly the emotions felt by his listeners, while providing comfort in being fully seen as someone who goes through similar feelings. His latest single “The Only One” captures the exactness of emotional states and simultaneously creates a relic of the truths of existence. It is one of the most iconic songs of the year, in lyrics, tone and vocalisation. The song builds on the singer's solid foundation in pop music, soulfully sung it is another decisive step in the singer's career. The piano-driven sound and rich orchestral instrumentation allow André Aires' voice to glide, on top of an exuberant sound palette. André has a powerful voice, but it's his earthy, varied delivery that brings his songs to life. André Aires' vocal inflection is filled with authentic feeling, as the lyrics develop seborganically alongside the instrumentation. André Aires never walks halfway through the winding roads of pop music. He doesn't limit himself to the obvious, incorporating a highly refined musical arrangement to accompany his exquisitely explosive vocals. In this sense, Aires combines a natural talent for songwriting with a flair for heartfelt and warm melodies. The result is to take a beautiful song and somehow make it work even better with Aires' soulful, resonant voice.

Ever since Quest, Joana Gama and Luís Fernandes have maintained an ongoing dialogue of piano and electronic music that has been enriched with several collaborations: “Harmonies”, where they worked on Satie's legacy with Ricardo Jacinto, “At The Still Point Of The Turning World”, where together with José Alberto Gomes they extended their work to an orchestra, or “Textures & Lines” which they co-created with Drumming GP. In “There’s no knowing”, they return to their original format as a duo to create a stripped musical and scenic object that is the result of an invitation to create the soundtrack for the “Cassandra” series, whose artistic director is Nuno M. The municipal programme Domingos em Forma returns with a warm-up session at Pavilhão do Largateiro follower by a walk along the footpaths of Parque Oriental da Cidade do Porto, between 10am and 11am. This exhibition, the artist's first solo show in Portugal, is centred around her most recent film – “Eu sou uma arara” [I am a macaw] (2022) – which will have its first ever premiere in Serralves. Made in collaboration with filmmaker Mariana Lacerda, this medium-length film is a critical reflection on the impact of deforestation in the Amazon upon its indigenous peoples at a time of political and social tension. This work is also the result of a long period of research and a series of actions in São Paulo where dozens of figures inspired by Brazilian fauna and flora were paraded through the city's streets, like a dense and powerful forest. Heir to the historical legacy of the post-war avant-garde movements, from neo-concrete to tropicália, Rivane Neuenschwander (b. 1967) is one of the most renowned names in Brazilian contemporary art. In her work, the artist combines different media and mediums to build a unique visual repertoire that explores narratives on a wide range of themes, including language and time, popular culture and literature, psychoanalysis and art, nature and society, politics and philosophy, fear and desire. One of her most iconic works, “Eu desejo o seu desejo” [I wish your wish] (2003), a collection of wishes reminiscent of the wish ribbons/bracelets of Senhor do Bonfim, will be placed in the Chapel of Serralves Villa.

Maura Airez's debut album had as its lead single "Fado Mãe", one of the iconic songs of Dulce Pontes' repertoire, an inspiration of the young fado singer. The album “21Maura” was released in the first quarter of 2021 and features two original tracks, in addition to songs by Amália Rodrigues like “Meu Amor é Marinheiro”. Maura Airez was “Prémio Revelação 2016” at the Caixa Alfama Festival and was nominated for the International Portuguese Music Awards in the “Fado Performance” category. She participated in the 1st edition of the Morocco Fado Festival, alongside Carminho and Luís Guerreiro, at NOS Alive and on the EDP Fado Café.

Dedicated to Bernardo Moreira de Sá, founder of Orpheon Portuense and Conservatório de Música do Porto, Vianna da Motta's second string quartet is considered a historic milestone of innovation. The second movement, subtitled “Cenas nas Montanhas”, evokes a popular melody from the Azores’ songbook. The recital ends with Schubert's famous quartet, which includes the song “Death and the Maiden”, which expresses well the dramatic and dark character of the composer's music.

After the magnificent concert at the Super Bock Festival in Stock, Michael Kiwanuka returns to Portugal. The British musician will perform on 23 September 2022 at Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota, in Porto. In his luggage he brings his new album, “Kiwanuka”, considered by the audiences and critics as one of the best albums of the year 2019, having received top ratings from publications such as The Guardian, NME, Q and the Daily Telegraph. The Guardian highlights the musician's “warm and sincere” vocals, in a medium that is both “timeless and contemporary”; the Daily Telegraph points to the “mesmerizing and charged” nature of a spirit that finds relief in the music he makes. And the best adjectives can be confirmed again by the Portuguese audience.

The Festa do Outono [Autumn Festival] returns to the Serralves Foundation to celebrate the beginning of the new season! With a diversified programme over two days, we invite families and the general public to come and celebrate autumn, experiencing the most rural area of ​​Serralves Park. In harmony, cultural and natural heritage coexist with artistic expressions and bring to the celebration in the Park the pleasure of participating in new approaches, where contemporaneity is associated with tradition and human essence, the environment and sustainability. Kátia Guerreiro returns to Porto, in a concert where she recalls some of the happiest moments of her career. Featuring musicians Pedro de Castro and Luís Guerreiro (Portuguese guitar), André Ramos and João Mário Veiga (guitar) and Francisco Gaspar (bass guitar), she also brings some guests to be announced in due course. Kátia Guerreiro's career began in 2000, with the concert in honour of Amália Rodrigues, at the Coliseu de Lisboa. Audience and critics surrendered to her interpretation of “Amor de Mel, Amor de Fel” and “Barco Negro”, considering her the best performance of the evening.

Thousands of FC Porto fans will dress in blue and white again, but this time for a ten-kilometre competition around the stadium. An iconic race that aims to offer thousands of FC Porto fans the opportunity to run from with their Dragão on their chests, in the Invicta, next to Estádio do Dragão (stadium], the stage of all emotions, the stage of champions. It will be an unforgettable experience for everyone, grandparents, parents and grandchildren, with a 10km run and a 5km walk, with start and finish near Estádio do Dragão. The Corrida do Dragão [Dragão Race] will be the race of a thousand emotions in which everyone will feel like a champion. Starting at 10 in the morning, the Corrida do Dragão is open to both men and women and is limited to 10,000 participants.

Written when the composer was 50 years old, it reflects a Brahms in full control of his invention. With the recent releases of an EP and an album, in the last year, Rui Massena that are highly regarded in Portugal and abroad, two of which were released by Deutsche Grammophon. Today, his music is heard by millions of people in over 90 countries. The conductor and composer brings to Sala Suggia a piano reinterpretation of his three albums and the EP “20 Perception”, accompanied by his ensemble to go through songs such as “Estrada”, “Amanhecer”, “A Song”, “Meditação”, “aBem”, among many others, and to premiere new compositions packed with the sound of string instruments. According to Rui Massena himself, this concert will be “a celebration of the much-desired return to the harmony that we all need”.

Cristina Branco, queen of contemporary fado, finds in the musical tradition an inexhaustible resource to feed the most audacious artistic adventures. The ensemble Des Équilibres, led by violinist Agnès Pyka, regularly crosses musical genres, bringing their favourite repertoire (20th century music) into contact with other universes. Invited by the project Season France-Portugal, the singer, accompanied by guitarist Bernardo Couto and that string ensemble, revisits the highly Portuguese territory of fado, contrasting it with the contemporary writing of unreleased works by Florentine Mulsant and Fátima Fonte. A unique way of building, abroad, a common European musical imagination.

Jorge & Mateus, the duo that won over Brazil! Responsible for some of the most upbeat music of “sertanejo universitário”, Jorge & Mateus, from the city of Itumbiara, from the state of Goiás, gained worldwide recognition and, today, are considered one of the main duos in Brazil.
